This beautiful Hindu wedding took place at the Hilton Wembley, London
Bhavika and Sanjay are very much in love, and capturing love gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, their love story is pretty epic too, but thats for another time.
The day started at 5.30am, with a a room full of excited bridesmaids, a gorgeous Bhavika getting ready and lots of tea (as always)
I loved that Bhavika’s jewellery was designed and made for her by her father, it was beautiful and her lengha was stunning too, a traditional mix of red and white with plenty of crystal work to keep it contemporary.
As the wedding rituals started and in walked Bhavika, I had tears running down my cheeks as I saw the reaction of Bhavika’s parents as she entered the room.
Bhavika’s siblings and friends made sure though that they kept everyone laughing and happy, the run around after stealing the grooms shoes was so much fun to be a part of and they really did negotiate well at the end.
My favourite part though was when Bhavika tried to sit down before Sanjay (Indian tradition) – and Sanjay grabbed her hand to try and stop her, what followed next was hilarious…oh and the kodakodi game, Bhavika tried really hard to win and she did!
I do love a fun, happy yet emotionally charged and beautiful Hindu wedding.
As always it was lovely to work alongside Ragamama Ragasaan who did a splendid job managing the whole day and David from Artistic Motion, it’s always fun working alongside him and his team.
A big thank you to John Starns for second shooting and for your company.
Look out for Part 2 of their wedding – their fabulous and fun wedding reception.
