Small intimate weddings full of love, laughter and that warm fuzzy feeling. This was it. There is some sort of magic that happens when you put the French and the Yorkshire folk together. They ooze so much warmth and the jokes are just incredible. I must say there was definitely some competition between the two too, especially with the Tour De France being so close to the time.
Louisa and Francois had a lovely little wedding that took place at the Harrogate Registry office and was followed by a beautiful reception at the Kirk Hammerton village hall. There were lots of beautiful details that Louisa had planned for the day, but the best bit was definitely the paella wagon that served freshly made paella to all the guests, it was delicious.
Francois, as you may have guessed is French and the French do love their wine, so there was plenty of that too, plus the guests that came from France were such a delight, making the day so much fun and full of happy memories.
The van, well, just wait and see for yourself. This van turned into a make shift Photo Booth which was manned by their eldest son who was taking polaroids that would then hang on a bicycle wheel frame making it a guest book…
There were lots of sweeties and there was lots of tea too, the village hall looked beautiful with all the pompoms, flowers and lamps. There was beer/wine on the tap and a cake that was made of cheese…yum!
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
