Just a few quick edits from Farnaz and Rajiv’s wedding that took place at Davenport Green Hall, Cheshire.
I’ve known Rajiv for years, we met at Uni where he was studying to be a Doctor and as he was from Kenya, we shared a passion for Africa, we clicked right away, plus you can never keep Gujju’s away from each other, there must be an “I am Gujju” radar somewhere in our bodies, and no we didn’t break out into G U J J U song…lol.
When he contacted me to tell me he was getting married and wanted me to take the photos, I was over the moon, it’s probably the best compliment when your friends trust you to take photos of their big day, in fact Rajiv asked me to go to Kenya for part 2 of their wedding, unfortunately I couldn’t make it to that, but I am editing some images which I will share once the full edit is done.
Then I met Farnaz. Gorgeous, beautiful soul. I loved her from day one. I knew she would be a fairytale bride and her smile was so infectious.
They had a Persian + Hindu ceremony, which was fused together in a very unique way, they had the 7 steps instead of the 7 pheras, and a vow at each step which was blessed by different members of both families, this was followed by the Persian wedding rituals, which is captivating to watch. Lots of dancing, speeches and a pre-wed video that had everyone in stitches!
So glad to be part of this wedding. Thank you guys!
